Me rants...
Look we have all heard “2k4 is dead” back and forth. Is it? That's debatable, but there are reasons to stick with the game.
1.It's still fun. If you liked it at one point, why quit now? Lets face it people play 2k4 for shock combos, insane goo shots, and those freaky wall dodges that work. It's all still here and you can't get it in any other game.
2.Events. For the longest time 2k4 was dead on events. Rejected by CPL, given the door at WCG. Well screw it, now there is GGL, and ESWC you have events, go practice kick ass and work for it.
3.A positive online community. I can't say it better. Even if almost all the online egos and community leaders are flamers, it's active. Face it, even if most of it is arguing that's better than dead. People argue because they care. Throw in some kick ass chans (#2k4tdm for the in plz on etg) and you have a very active (if combative community).
4.Online events across the board. CTF, TDM, 1v1, you name it, it's there. You can apply to an event in anything you want, earn a place and have some e-glory. Even if the events are small it's a step in the right direction.
5.New players... shock. The game has grown from the 1300 online to the 1500 online due to competitive events. If the events keep coming the game will grow.
/end rant.
