utcomp brightskin bind question

because some maps are green and some are red - i find it useful to use opposite colored brightskins...

rather than F5/Brightskins adjust per map - is there a way i can bind this variable to a key?

BlueEnemyUTCompSkinColor=(B=0,G=128,R=35,A=255)

it won't work verbatim, and I'm not sure how to handle the syntax of passing 4 values to a variable that is being assigned to yet another variable (a key).

it seems like keybinds can't parse = signs - but i don't know how parenthesis are handled :(

so this is my next stab at it:
i=BlueEnemyUTCompSkinColor B 0, G 128, R 35, A 255

if this doesn't work, can someone make a suggestion?

Re: utcomp brightskin bind question

try
i=set utcompv16.UTComp_xPawn BlueEnemyUTCompSkinColor (B=0,G=128,R=35,A=255)

Somehow im pretty sure though, it will not work while ingame online.

Why don't you just set an enemy/teammate skin color? For me, enemies are pink, teammates are white :]

I don't know how to bind it. However you could try creating another .ini file. It's rather easy to just change out when you play. Granted it won't work per map, but before a match you can just swap to what is best.

Outside of that, I have found that pink shows up on every map rather well.

i don't like the pink for campgrounds (lower) and deck17 :P

(i use it for virtually all else)

i'll hit up the guys at beyondunreal and see if anyone knows how to pass values like this - cheers.

Re: utcomp brightskin bind question

if you dont make any use of the answers - why are you asking then. As well as you will need to bind such a bind for every UTcomp version you will be playing with.

Re: utcomp brightskin bind question

well the version issue depends on who you are. The na competitive standard is 1.6, or 1.6a so that's two versions. IIRC the euro's are still on 1.5 or 1.5a so you don't need that many versions.

Re: utcomp brightskin bind question

Add the values you want to a txt, lotus added an exec command into utcomp awhile ago. bind a key to exec the .txt

"exec brightskins2.txt"

I didn't try, but it's a stab.
