For some reason a lot of the people that play on that server have come to the conclusion that it's OK to be total asshole. If I'm on that server, and you're a dick, you will be warned. If you continue--which most of them do considering their distaste for threats, and me--you will be kicked.

Also, from an outside perspective the gap between gold and silver (at least for some of your gold players), is minimal to non-existant at best.

PS: It is common sight for you to be /reconnecting on the fractionary whenever you get angry because of your net being bad. I've witnessed it personally twice and have been on voice with other people as you've done it another time also. Can't help but bring the LOL.
While I do think it's a bit assuming to believe that any team besides x6 could beat gravity and the newly reinvigorated con, I think nyte's comments represented what the clan felt was a difficult but not insurmountable goal... to beat everyone EXCEPT the team composed of the best (3? 4? 5?) DM/TDM players in North America.
And as far as silver goes, the matter was discussed intra-clan, and nyte's not saying anything we haven't been over in private with Pete. So I think it's safe to say that no offense taken.
Carl's comments to the contrary notwithstanding, losing Hectic, Rudo and Hams to real life presented an impassable obstacle to the clans hopes for competitive top 3 placement at GGL. Our bench simply is not that deep. If what I'm saying falls on deaf ears (CARL, LISTEN PLEASE) try to imagine how x6 would do if Carl, GiMiX and Stryfe were all sidelined... Sure they would still win some games with a GiMix, Frenzy(?), Tex and ? lineup - but I don't think they'd fare too well against either Gravity or Con...

Are you that stupid to think that you actually receive all the reports from people? No, the people come on vent and IRC and talk about your faggotry, stupidity, and immaturity. It's nice to see that in your interview it has been confirmed that the reason you quit was because you couldn't win. PB: The interview was long enough to cover the subject matter. There is no set format for interviews or write ups here. Granted some interviews cover a broader spectrum of information, and thus, will logically be fairly lengthy. However shorter interviews still provide viable content that is good outside of a “post on the forums” setting. For what it's worth, I thought this turn of events was interesting, and from the responses I think I was spot on.

Furthermore, neither nytejade nor I questioned your level of involvement in the community. Between fragmovies, your contributions here, and the thankless innumerable hours of writing text at proU and in #2k4tdm, I would say that you contribute quite a bit. Why would you feel insecure about it and attempt to defend those contributions? No one attacked them!
On my own behalf - all I do is run a few servers for ::LOB:: and play a few pub games (TAM, TDM, vCTF) here and there - I make no claims as to being skilled or influential (other than over what maps are in rotation :). But if you feel that, by my sense of humor, I misrepresent ::LOB::, I strongly urge you to talk to Peter about it, because baiting and attacking me is going to get you nowhere.
p.s. ra - plenty of other talented pub players besides nyte reconnect out of frustration when they are trying for wicked-sicks on the fractionary. it's an amusing behavior on the whole, but i understand why some people feel it's neccessary (to refocus).
Just like to point out, the gold team going for the GGL had only about 5-10% of the practise time the other teams were getting due to all of us getting slammed with real life stuff. You bet we feel we can crack into 2nd place if we had solid practise time.

Nyte's interview was straight up.. legit. No underlying meaning, no excuses, just facts. As a member of silver, Nyte's comments are dead accurate on every level. It sucks to loose dudes to real life stuff, and not because we couldn't continue competing... it sucks because those dudes are our friends and we miss the shit out of them. That's what sucks. Friends > GGL
LOB was never in this for the competition, it just ended up that way. When you play that much together you get better together so we broke out our 4 best and took a shot at it. And IMO, back when Pete was really pushing Gold to improve they did absolutely incredible together. Then >poof< they vanished and like Chu said we didn't have a deep bench because we never ever recruited for skill. Half of me wishes we never decided to get more competitive because all it did was bring on the hate from all over. Not really sure why, but it's freakin' sad as hell. We've never claimed to be anthing more then good friends.
I happen to agree with Nyte when it comes to my own ability vs any gold member, speaking soley for myself. I don't practice, I don't time, and I don't really do well. I do this to unwind and hopefully get that one good round where I find my shot- that's about it. A little like golf. I don't like this game, yet continue to play it cuz of the guys in LOB. The guys on gold and most of the better players out there seem to perform and win in this game seemingly without effort. I don't ever want to learn the "proper" use of the shield gun, which is why I'll always be a liability.
As for the e-tension, it's too bad. I hate when people judge your personality and character based on your score in a video game.
I haven't really played this game dedicatedly in a while. I was (I play now a ton) very inactive. But I close (or in) 2 of the clans in GGL, h2o, and d. Neither of which practice, EVER, at all. I think there are some mingled scrims, some of which I (an inactive player) played in to fill the squad.
I'm not contesting what nyte said, I'm sure it's what happened. But honestly, you guys don't play less than anybody.
While I do agree it's good reason to ditch, and not continue, and I don't blame you guys, and I'm not going to get on your case. Think about this, everybody else is in the same situation, or in some cases worse. I think this is why people get hostile over the subject. It's not a personal hate on anybody, it's the fact that your reasons, are things other people stuck through, regardless of what position it would end them up in.

Saito, we have no doubt others are equally as busy IRL. However, at THIS particular time we are missing almost our entire Gold team. If everyone WAS in the SAME situation there would be no GGL because there wouldn't be anyone to play. Get it? So anyone who can find the time for GGL is obviously NOT in the same situation regardless how busy they are.
Believe me we miss our mates tremendously and wish things were different :(

I've played more in day than 3 of our gold core have in 2 months - COMBINED. And it hasn't helped me one bit :)
