For those living under a rock GGL has a poll up for the greatest American UT player in history. The options are fairly good, destrukt, xs-pain, infinite, Fatality, Lotus, stryfe, and CombatCarl. Currently Fatality is winning the poll by a wide margin. I can’t help think that this is due to the fact that UT is a fairly unknown game so it’s star players don’t get much attention. In comparison to quake3/painkiller both of which Fatality is a known force in.
I think it’s about time the UT community gets over to GGL and adds some votes from our community.
Since we're talking about best in UT history, you have to throw out everyone who wasn't good at, or never even played UT99 competitively.

(Don't forget Caleb [cpense] Pence had been playing for 4 months and made the CPL 2003 finals, where he lost to Fat)
Which leaves you with the the 3 guys who dominated, or at least played at a top level in all 3 incarnations of Unreal Tournament.

Of those 3, who has the most top finishes?
Who is the biggest "Star"?
Who is the biggest jerk?
Answer those questions and you have your answer.
A couple more names of guys who were really good before falling away for various reasons, and are more deserving of a mention in that list simply based on thier longevity at a top level.

LOL where does this list come from and what sorces?....I am still lauging..I would like to meet or play some of these "Best American " players...not to be cocky ..but I believe we posess some of the best players ever..right in our clan :)
