One of the bonus maps of 2k3, Electric Fields makes a strong come back in 2k4. The match takes on elevated platforms with 2 levels. It’s also fairly open, and visually appealing.
Critique:
Like all open maps Electric Fields is dominated by hitscan, and that does take some depth out of the game play. However, this isn’t a bad thing on this map. With 2 levels, and some cover Electric Fields gets away with it. There are ample passing set-ups, and you can even run around beneath the structures for a sneak attack. If it wasn’t for the lack luster FPS the map could be played competitively.
