Although liked by some folks, the majority of players regarded this map as a disgrace to the namesake, and no more than an attempt to show off all the pretty things you could do in the new engine. It's amazing just how much some people hate this map, I suppose because they loved the original and were dismayed at the odd choices made for this remake.
Critique:
I'd like to see a major CTF competition require this map to be played, simply to see the reactions it garners. Absolutely no chance of this map ever being taken seriously, particularly in a high level competition. Personally, I think this map can be fun enough if simply played for kicks, maybe with some friends on a LAN or something. It's not unplayable, but nothing like the original and far from competition-worthy.
