Put Out That Fire! Tactics

Description

This is pretty useful in 1v1's. Now maybe you usually go against a friend or maybe quickly notice what your opponent likes to use. Maybe he is a flak monkey? Why dont you put this in your mindset? (Read nogame's "My machine mindset" article)

Lets take the map DM-Rankin with no weapon stay for example. Maybe your opponent seems to use the shock rifle, flak cannon, and lightning gun the most. So the game starts, find a hitscan and splash damage weapon (Rocket/flak) and arrive at the 100 shield at about 9:40. Now assuming the double damage is disabled, make your way to the shock rifle, then flak, then dodge up the diagonal ramp above the flak cannon and make your way to the lightning gun. Maybe now you can go grab the 50 shield and the minigun.

At this time, it may almost be time for you to go pick up that 100 shield again. By the time you pick it up, those weapons should be close to respawning. Thus in this way, unless you got side tracked, your opponent is forced to use the rocket or link mostly, assuming you didnt die. This way, you could greatly put out the opponents fire.
Like I said, this should mostly be used for 1v1's, as packed deathmatch servers with no weaponstay would equal alot of offensive shield gun attempts, like on curse4.
