It has been said before and I think it needs to be said again, All Vehicles can carry more than one player, its just not as comfortable for everyone! There is nothing worse than starting a game and watching all of the vehicles disapearing into the distance...especially if that distance is not anywhere near the direction of a node
Manta and Scorpion
The Manta can carry 3 players comfortably quickly across the map between nodes, one pilot and 2 on the wings, make sure you crouch on the wings though as this stops you falling off if the pilot decides to pull anything more strenuous than a 45 degree turn. Using this method and proplerly co-ordinated, by the time you hit the 3rd node you all have a Manta and node 4 can be hit by a squadron of head trimmers.
On the Scorpion its the same with one extra player riding shotgun... just prey the driver isn't me though because I am rather partial to running these things of of the edge of any large drop I can find!
Goliath
You have seen those films with tanks carrying soldiers on top of them, well do the same here... armed with Shock rifles and attentive these externally carried players can keep a goliath alive for ages, knocking out AVrils as you trundle towards your target, using Link guns to heal you and generally acting as 2 extra turrets with a wider range of available secondary weapons than just the machine gun, I would have to say that a well co-ordinated team in a goliath is one of the scarier sights I have witnessed playing Onslaught
