| Description |
Although in most situations these weapons are an offensive no-go, there are 3 maps where they can turn the tide quite effectively.
Primeval
Available at the Power Core weapons lockers, if the opposition has control of or is building at the central node you can use the mines to cause some severe grief by firing them at a high trajectory in the direction of the node, this is especially effective from the Blue base as you can do this before going around the tree just before the node. This weapon is also very effective here because of the ground cover, so they are not always easy to see.
Torlan
Available from the first node out from the Bases, they are completely ineffective at that node... attacks on this node are usually from Goliaths, Mantas or Snipers from the central hills, all of which will just lead to you wasting your mines and eventually dying horribly. No, the best use of these mines is to use them from the platform that runs the length of the back of the bases. From here you can lay a minefield over one of the teams spawn points and therefore gain your team some valuable attacking time on the power core without them having to worry about dodging too much Flak. They are also quite amusing if you can get them set up around the teleporter at the top of the sniping tower in the middle of the base.
Artic Stronghold
Available from under the central ramp of your base, again completely inneffective at that point as most attackers use Mantas to destroy the core. Instead, use them from the high point by each of the linking nodes that are key to the Cores. You can rain the mines down on the nodes to regain control or you can drop them on the area around that node to suprise any eager opposition teleporting in to strengthen their teams attack on your core. Also very effective if used to defend the redeemer spawn shelf as to be used effectively the Deemer has to be guided.
